Are you passionate about continuous improvement and ready to help set up a new team at the heart of Wellington City Council transformation? We're seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to join our newly established Business Improvement team, driving efficiency, innovation, and service excellence across our internal services.
Āu ake mahi - What you'll do:
- Build something new: Play a key role in establishing a new team dedicated to business improvement and service innovation
- Drive real impact: Lead and support end-to-end reviews of internal processes, implement streamlined workflows, and embed automation and self-service solutions
- Collaborate for success: Work closely with People and Capability and internal service teams, leveraging data and insights to deliver smarter, more effective services
- Champion continuous improvement: Facilitate workshops, coach teams, and foster a culture of innovation and learning across the organisation
- Make a difference: Help shape how Council operates, ensuring our people and communities benefit from efficient, customer-focused services
Ngā tohu me ngā wheako - Qualifications and experience
You will bring the following:
- Proven experience in business process analysis, improvement, and project delivery (ideally three plus years)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement practical solutions
- Confident communicator and collaborator, able to build consensus and drive change
- Experience with process mapping, automation, and using data to inform decision-making
- A commitment to our values: putting people at the heart, always improving, collaborating, and caring for our places
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and a willingness to work in a bicultural context
We are looking to appoint between $83,666 and $98,430 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
