Starting salary: $69,602.00 - $81,885.00 + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga
We're looking for a Relationship Manager (Kaiwhakahaere Hononga) to help transform how we work with key data suppliers across Aotearoa. This is a fixed-term 12-month role based in Auckland, reporting to the Team Leader - Data Suppliers & Relationships.
You'll be working externally with large and critical data suppliers and internally with teams across Stats NZ, leading efforts to:
- Improve the supplier experience and ensure it is central to how we source data
- Build strong, sustainable relationships that support timely and high-quality data delivery
- Lead digital transformation by helping suppliers move from paper to digital data solutions
- Advocate for supplier perspectives and act as their voice across our work
- Use data and insights to co-design solutions, solve problems, and add value
- Increase the use and understanding of data by suppliers themselves
You'll also contribute to our wider strategy, upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and embracing our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and partnership with Māori.
This role would suit someone who can bring:
- 5-6 years' experience in a solution-focused, relationship management role
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience for this role
- Sound knowledge of the NZ business environment and challenges facing businesses today.
- Strong communication and analytical thinking skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across teams and organisations
- A passion for improving systems, processes, and relationships through innovation and people-centred design
- Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability
