Ko tōna mahi he taituarā i ngā kaupapa Māori, he whakakanohi i ngā whakaaro me ngā tirohanga Māori nō roto mai i ngā akoranga, me te marautanga o te tōpūtanga nei. Ka mutu, me arataki, me tautāwhi hoki i ngā kaiako huri noa i te motu, kia mārama kehokeho ai rātou ki tā te Māori titiro ki tōna ao. Ka mahi ngātahi ai te tangata nei ki te taha o te Pouhere Kaupapa Māori, te Kaiārahi Māori me te Kaitohutohu Marautanga Māori. Me kanohi hōmiromiro te tangata nei, e puta pai ai ngā hua o tēnei tūranga.

Te Rito Maioha is a bicultural tertiary education and membership organisation committed to high-quality, culturally grounded teacher education. We’re searching for a passionate te reo Māori speaker to join our whānau — fluency is ideal, but strong spoken and written understanding is great too. You will provide a voice that strengthens the academic cultural advice and guidance on programmes, curriculum, mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori across the motu, supporting teaching and learning outcomes for all tauira, with a particular focus on Māori.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:
As Kaitiaki Āhurea Māori you will:
- Provide cultural input into teaching and learning programmes
- Support the growth, success and wellbeing of tauira Māori through their studies
- Embed mātauranga Māori in curriculum, academic development and research
- Strengthen our bicultural strategy working alongside the Pouhere Kaupapa Māori
- Build relationships with iwi, hapū, Māori organisations and communities
- Be actively engaged in research within your field and industry sector of expertise
- Hold a Masters’ in Early Childhood Education and maintain teacher registration
