Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | The opportunity
We are currently seeking 2x passionate Healthcare Lecturers that possess a Level 7 or above teaching experience in New Zealand.
This role is pivotal in shaping the future of healthcare professionals and will involve teaching our PostGraduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mental Health and/or Addiction.
The role will be based at our Auckland CBD and New Lynn campus This is a permanent role (40 hours) per week. Classes are run during the day and evening online and on-site.
Key focus areas
- Planning and delivering courses using effective and engaging teaching methods and materials appropriate to the students and course content and aligned with the NZSE Teaching and Learning Plan
- Design and develop course content and assessments as per NZQA standards
- Ensuring all assessments, including tests are completed as per the requirements of the course including marking, feedback, moderation, reassessment and rescheduling within required timeframe
- Participating in and working on research projects
- Face-to-face and online delivery of classes
Ko koe tēnei | About you
- Previous experience in teaching at a tertiary level within the Mental Health and/or Addiction capacity
- Hold a PhD
- Must be Research Active
- Experience with using assessment, evaluation and review processes to ensure continuous improvement
- Previous experience developing programmes and courses on the NZQA framework
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 or above or willing to work towards
- Experience working with New Zealand Mental Health or Addiction is preferred but not essential
