This role is within the ANZ Adviser Assessment team which takes pride in being a Centre of Excellence for home lending. Our assessment team is a market leader for the volume of mortgages we underwrite and has consistently been recognized for service excellence across the industry. As an Adviser Lending Specialist (Personal), you will have the opportunity to support customers achieve their home ownership dreams. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assessment of home lending applications received from Mortgage Advisers, for customers with PAYE income.
  • Provide an exceptional relationship based service experience for customers and Mortgage Advisers, supporting ANZ’s goals of being #1 in Growth and #1 in Service.
  • Deliver competitive product and pricing strategy that helps retain existing customers and attracts new business to ANZ.
  • Meet home loan settlement goals through strong relationship building, sound judgemental risk assessment of applications and a strong focus on providing market leading financial solutions to our customers.
  • Manage your own workflow and assist your team as required to meet or exceed individual and team goals, through collaboration and proactively managing conflicting priorities.
  • Have a growth mind set and an always learning outlook towards your role, continuously seeking out opportunities to deliver process improvement, operational efficiencies and great customer outcomes.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience with home lending and knowledge of NZ credit controls and environment
  • You must have held a Delegated Financial Authority (DFA) in your previous roles and should be able to exercise sound judgement while making lending decisions
  • Ability to analyse financial information on customer applications in a logical and manner, with a good eye for detail and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • A customer centric approach, the ability to leverage risk appetite to deliver on service and business growth goals
  • Good relationship management skills, the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders internally at ANZ and externally across the Mortgage Adviser industry, always exerting a positive influence for change
  • The ability to work in a team environment as well as independently unsupervised.
